The 3-step flow
- Warm up, then sing your lowest note. Press Start, allow the microphone, and slide down to the lowest note you can hold without straining. Lock it in once the reading is steady.
- Sing your highest note. Slide up to your highest comfortable note — not a shout or falsetto squeak, just the top of your natural range — and lock it in.
- Read your results. See your octave span, frequency range, an estimated voice type, and where you sit on a piano keyboard.
